Hello, World!

I'm just learning about blogs, after reading an article that indirectly mentioned them. So, I did a search on yahoo and found that there is actually a history behind them! Now, I have been online since pre-mosaic days, and have seen and been part of blogs before, only I guess they didn't have a name back then!

About me
I'm a mom of 2 wonderful children, almost 4yrs, and 2 yrs respectively. I left the corporate world in my dotcom career in 2001 to pursue full-time motherhood. I still have the stress of everyday working life, but it is very rewarding at the same time. At this point in my life I plan to stay a full time mom, but I'm also looking to get back into the "working world" when my kids start 1st grade. A career that allows me to have flexible hours so that I can be there for my kids when they're home from school, and be a traditional homemaker.

That being said, here are some other things about me (I am more than a mom!). I love being outdoors. I enjoy running, golfing, and tennis. My DH and I just celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. We enjoyed a weekend away at Catalina while the kids stayed with Grandma and Grandpa. It was so nice to rejeuvenate our relationship, and remember how much we matter to one another.

We just moved to Orange County this past June, with a short 1.5 year stay in San Diego. I usually tell people I'm from Atlanta, because I lived there for 10 years, just out of college, and most of my adult life. We had a wonderful life there, with great friendships and were sad to leave, but we made the choice to move to the west coast to be closer to family. And, I know it's just a matter of time before we get acclimated and build new friendships and develop ties to the community.
